Minnesota Vikings star running back Adrian Peterson is considered to meet the upcoming state of decline.
Because Peterson is already 30 years old, the time of the most running back’ state of decline, and he has missed the entire 2014 season.
Vikings offensive coordinator Norv Turner said: “I did not see his state of decline from his performance in the training camp, he still maintained a good state. We are all looking forward to his performance on the field.”
Peterson has run for at least 1,000 yards in each season he’s played at least 13 games. He’s four years removed from his career year, when he ran for 2,097 yards in 2012.
So how does Peterson keep defying conventional wisdom when it comes to running backs? Turner pointed out that Peterson will spend a lot of time on weight training.
